Broward County is a popular part of the state with some fine amenities. Coral Springs Florida is a large town in the county that offers residents and visitors a pleasant environment. Shoppers can find just about everything they need at the Coral Square Mall, including branches of Sears, Dillard's and two Macy stores.

There are plenty restaurants and distractions for the children including a carousel, miniature train and a big aquarium containing tropical fish.

One of the most popular tourist destinations lies west of the town. A large portion of the Everglades is a National Park and World Heritage Site. This protected area near Coral Springs Florida is a refuge for wildlife and a water conservation area.

Young children enjoy visiting the petting zoo and it's a great family outing with campsites and walking paths. Canoe and kayak enthusiasts also make use of the facilities. There is the chance to see alligators, deer and muskrat.

The annual events calendar for the town is expanding and it includes the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts. This is an opportunity for local people to display their arts and crafts in the form of pottery, paintings, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics and photographic work.

Information and artifacts on the local history of the area is exhibited at the Center for the Arts with impressive fossils and skulls from the pre-historic era.

There are lots of facilities for leisure and sports in Coral Springs Florida. Teenagers congregate at the Teen Center, where they can relax and watch TV, play computer games, shoot pool or play air hockey.

The Aquatic Complex and Fitness Club has heated, outdoors swimming pools with springboard and platform diving. It also contains a fully equipped fitness gym. It's also possible to stay fit at the Tennis Center on one of the twelve clay courts or four hard courts.

IncredibleICE is the name of the local skating rink, where the public can have a go on the ice and take lessons. Ice hockey matches are also played here and it's the home rink for the Florida Panthers NHL team.

The Sawgrass National Center and Wildlife Hospital is a valuable asset to the Coral Springs Florida community. It educates the public and has a library, classroom, museum, wet laboratory, shop and café. Mammals, birds and reptiles are on display and the hospital treats animals that have been orphaned, injured or who are ill.
